Look again at that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every “superstar,” every “supreme leader,” every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there–on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

Compared with the complexity of our living universe and the scale of its size, most of the things we are bothering with actually means nothing. Instead of wasting your energy dealing with nothing, you definitely have better choices to spend your limited lifetime. Here I share some of my life hacks to live a lazy but meaningful life.
Broaden your view
The most disruptive perception of me is to know the scale of our universe. The latest calculation shows that our universe has an age of 13.8 billion years. And there are about one hundred billion galaxies in our visible universe, we – human beings – are just living on one of them.
We usually waste a lot of time on things that we actually haven’t asked if it matters. Our life will be definitely much easier if we can save time on meaningless stuff. As shown in the photo – The pale blue dot, we are actually very tiny in the universe. WE will definitely gain some new perspectives when we jump out from your problems and look at the sky and stars. It is worth spending our time broadening our views by studying a bit about our universe. Equipping our thinking with an universal view could make us less distracted by meaningless things.
Start exploring
Our interest matters and we will find it when we start doing. Don’t hesitate too much, just do it. Try different things as fast as you can, then find your strengths and real passions. We can only pursue and carry on with limited goals in our short life. The meaning of our life is defined by our own choices, it matters only if we enjoy it. Enjoy our life by doing the things we love, our laziness is to ignore the others.
Be the best of yourself
Make yourself obsessed with improvements. The simple motivation is just the belief that you could be much better. Just like a game, better performance comes from improvements gained from many failures. Take our struggle as fun and our pain as an exercise, we will play a better game in your life.
